About A Brother
I’ve had 3 net handles I’ve used consistently.
- Six-Gun, from my fledgling FPS days.
- MvrkMechJock/MaverickMechJock from the BattleTech TCG of the same name.
- Brother Armand as a nod to the monastic Space Marine brotherhood.
My wife has taken to calling me Armand with great relish. Armand, in all it variations from the Dread Pirate Armand to the Vampire Armand, serves as an apporpriate pseudonym, but perhaps one my wife would prefer reserved for her. Brother Wolf, emblazoned upon my arm in the Latin “Frater Lupus”, is the perfect counterpart to my true love, Sister Moon. And with that, this latest chapter in our lives begins…
I used to be a firm believer that the anonymity of the web was against the natural order of things. I’m proud to spout off about myself, my beliefs, etc. However, with identity theft, intellectual property theft and generally malicious nature of humanity on the rise, I have taken it as a sign that while i may happily share all that you may wish to know about me, you’ll have to do a little more digging to determine exactly who I am. If you know me, then you know me. If you don’t, then you won’t unless I want to allow you to, (or you’re a persistent and ingenious little bugger). The real gist of it is, there are a handful of capricious assholes out there whom I would just as soon never had a clue this was me when I start to talk about what fuckbags they are.
So, what do you want to know? I’m old enough to have seen Star Wars in the theater. I’ve been riding motorcycles and gaming, (board/role/tabletop), for well over 2/3 of my life, (3/4 in some cases). I waited many a long decade to get married, refusing to be the marrying kind until my soulmate was revealed to me. I’m laid back almost to an onscene degree, however you can rile my up nice & tight if we start discussing religion, politics or metropolitan traffic.
Cheers, friends. I’ll see you on the web, on the road or at the pub.
